Author Visits ✩

Virtual Visits with Rosario Martinez

As a former educator and children’s author, I love connecting with students, educators, and families to celebrate the power of storytelling. My visits, whether in person or virtual, combine creativity, cultural reflection, and social-emotional learning to help children recognize their own voices and experiences as valuable sources of inspiration.

Each presentation is designed to be joyful, engaging, and educational, with a focus on building empathy, confidence, and curiosity through storytelling. I’m available for individual talks, and half-day visits. I tailor every session to the specific goals of your school, library, organization, or conference.

To ensure the best experience, please reach out at least 6-8 weeks before your preferred event date. This allows time for coordination, planning, and book orders.

For book signings, I kindly ask that your preferred title/titles of my books be ordered and delivered before the day of the event, so I can sign copies for students.

For virtual visits, I’m happy to provide signed bookplates that can be distributed along with purchased books.

Special Presentation Topics

✨My Journey as a Writer✨

From growing up bilingual and book-obsessed to turning my stories into published books, I share how dreaming big and not giving up led me here. This talk explores creativity, courage, and the power of finding your voice. Students will see behind the scenes moments from my writing and publishing process and discover that every story begins with believing in yourself.

✨Writing Your Own Story✨

We all have a story worth telling. In this interactive session, students reflect on the memories, traditions, languages, and details that make them who they are. Together, we’ll explore how to transform real life experiences into powerful, original stories.

✨Writer’s Workshop✨

It’s time to create! In this hands-on session, we’ll write, laugh, and share as we practice storytelling techniques. Topics may include adding humor, writing with emotion, blending in another language, or crafting surprise endings. I can also tailor this workshop to align with your current classroom writing goals.

✨How to Book a Visit✨

I’d love to visit your school, library, or organization! Here’s how to get started…

  1. Reach Our Early

Please contact me 6-8 weeks before your preferred date to check availability and discuss your goals for the visit.

  2. Share Event Details

Include your school or organization name, location, preferred visit format (in-person, or virtual), estimated group size, and any themes or curricular connections you’d like to highlight.

  3. Confirm and Plan

Once we confirm a date, I’ll send a short agreement outlining the schedule, honorarium, and book order details. Together, we’ll finalize the visit plan and prepare students for an engaging, interactive experience.

  4. Book Purchases

Every visit includes a book component. Schools and organizations are asked to order books in advance so they arrive before the visit for signing. For virtual visits, I can send signed bookplates for students who have purchased books.

  5. Event Day

I’ll arrive (or log in) a bit early to set up and get ready to meet you!
